In 1994 the Slivers Biltong & Nuts factory shop was established by Adrian and Rentia, husband and wife team in the beautiful valley of Noordhoek, close to Kommetjie on the famous scenic route to Cape Point in the Western Cape Province of South Africa. Starting as one small factory biltong shop in 1994, we now successfully operate in three spaces, namely the Slivers Biltong & Nuts Factory Shop in Heron Park, our Online Shop which delivers our products to retail customers across South Africa and our Wholesale Sector. 
Since 1994 we have developed our own recipies and spice profiles for each of our meat products. There is an art to biltong production that develops in understanding the raw meat itself, developing the suppliers, cutting and spicing, harvesting at the right time and choosing the right pieces to be sold, so we can provide our consumers with only the best premium products.  It is important to find the correct suppliers, developing good relationships and consistently testing quality of the products. 
We pride ourselves in customer service and many our clients have been supporting us since we opened in 1994.

Slivers prides itself on delivering the tastiest, freshest quality products available. 

We guarantee all our products, provided they are still within the indicated “Best Before” date printed on the packaging of any product we supply.

Should you feel that the product you've received does not live up to your standards of excellent quality, we'll gladly exchange or refund your purchase, subject to our returns policy.

 

Quality, resealable snacks that last

Our processes are of international standard and all products are fully guaranteed. We source superior quality raw materials from selected suppliers that comply with the strictest international hygienic procedures. These are suppliers who ascribe to and are certified with HACCAP, SABS and GOOD MANUFACTURING.

In order to maintain our high standards, should any product be defective, we'll require the item to be returned to us so that we can investigate the reason for possible defects in our processes. We continuously strive to both maintain and improve on our standards and quality.

Our strict hygiene, selected ingredients and quality manufacturing processes, complete with high-tech packaging processes ensures excellent shelf-life.

We do however still recommend the following instructions are adhered to:

OPEN PRODUCT: As this is product is exposed to varying ambient conditions once it leaves our premises, it is intended to be consumed immediately. Should you wish to keep it longer, we recommend you freeze it in a sealed container. Do not partially or fully defrost without consuming as this could accelerate mould growth.

VACUUM-PACKED PRODUCT: We guarantee the freshness of our vacuum-packed products, while still sealed. Once the seal is broken, within reason, the product is expected to be consumed immediately. Once the seal is broken, the freshness “clock” starts ticking. Should you wish to keep it longer, we recommend you freeze it in a sealed container. Do not partially or fully defrost without consuming as this could accelerate mould growth.

Wholesale

We have a wholesale division which supplies in bulk to pubs, clubs, hotels, marketing companies, schools and supermarkets wanting to stock the extensive quality range of Slivers products. We specialise in a beautifully presented range of Minibar snacks which has proven successful at some of the top hotels in South Africa. We also supply re-sealable 1kg cater pack sizes for the catering industry.
